borrow a book is about sharing books. it's for people who:

own books, but many sit on the shelf unused, and/or
are looking to borrow books, but don't know where from

this project aims to facilitate lending, borrowing and sharing these books. there are a few rules to help everyone play fair.

it would be wise to decide upon a time period for the loan, so that books don't get lost or forgotten about by the lender or the borrower. lenders may also want to write their name and address in the book to show it's theirs
it's very kind of people to offer to lend their books, so borrowers - make it as easy for them as possible. this may include offering to pay postage if you don't live nearby - and certainly includes returning the book on time and in good condition
it's completely up to the lender how many books they want to loan out at a time, how long for and to whom they lend, so borrowers - no pressurising lenders
in case of disputes, make sure all communication about lending/borrowing is kept in email. it would be wise to clarify that both the lender and the borrower agree to the rules
